Legend Tab
A map legend is sometimes the key to understanding representations of layers and/or features that are drawn on the map.
While most users will see legend information displayed next to a given layer name in the Layer list, clicking on the Legend tab will display a complete map legend for all layers currently displayed in the Map Window. The map legend will dynamically change as the layers are turned on and off, and as you dynamically re-theme layers and layer attributes.
Advanced moves: When creating an output PDF (where the legend actually takes up space), you may want to remove legend information for some layers that appear on the map from the final printed legend. By clicking on the Settings link at the top of the legend list, you can simply uncheck the check boxs next to the layers for which you do not want legend information to appear.
